Dirt & Glitter

atMy head feels funny

I feel like there is an abudance of Christmas partying with the Australian folk..Christmas parties that involve booze. As it is I am enjoying some champagne at my desk from our arvo shindig. Thing is I hate champagne. Sure it is somewhat delicious, but inevetably your head starts to regret the decision  to imbibe within ten minutes. This did not stop me. I am determined to work as little as possible today and my boss is determined to let me it seems.
So yes. Happy Christmas as the Aussies would say. I think I need to lay under my desk…

on christmas day, dzung and I took a mid day stroll around his suburban neighborhood. being the voyeur, i peered into every window, open door (they leave their doors wide open in North Carolina), garage spaces we passed. It was fun and funny to spy on others as they were having the x-mas time together, i fantasize about screaming matches between mother-in-laws and scattering dishes, thinking maybe just maybe i would catch a glimpse of holiday discord through those open doorways. I didn’t see anything, but then again other people’s families always seem so perfect from the outside…i don’t know that i’m trying to say but after reading your succession of blogs this is what came to mind…something about family, love, boundaries, and trust, wishes and frustrations…love you lots hope x-mas turned out for the best
